Women’s DIY Programme – a great success!

Last Friday saw Building Futures East’s 4th and final Women-Only DIY session take place at Ouseburn Community Centre, Mowbray Street, Heaton.

The ladies had decided they would like their last session to cover more construction-type skills such as tiling or bricklaying so tutor, Dennis Baldwin was at hand to help!  The ladies who love to ”do-it-for-themselves,” were back again in what was a jovial final session in which they learned to build brick pillars, like those you might find in the garden or at the end of a driveway.  Thanks to all those who took part in this programme and helped to make it such a huge success!  We look forward to seeing you again soon.

If you would like to see what the ladies have been up, why not have a look below at the pictures to give you some inspiration and see the SISTERS WHO ARE DOING IT FOR THEMSELVES!
