Women-only DIY Reindeer-building session is a great success

Thursday 20th December saw a group of ladies and their children working with BFE Construction Tutor Dennis at Ouseburn Community Centre to learn DIY skills by building their very own wooden reindeer – take a look at the photos below to see the morning’s achievements!

1. Construction Tutor Dennis Baldwin explains how the wooden reindeer will be put together
2. A lesson on the safe use of power tools
3. The DIY ladies have their first go at using the drill
4. Practicing the safe use of a drill
5. The ladies begin to construct the reindeer
6. Practicing the safe use of a hammer and nails to attach the reindeer's ears
7. Ladies use a variety of tools to build their reindeer
8. The reindeer is now starting to take shape
