Women-Only Construction Skills Course starting soon…

Back in January, Building Futures East held its first ever Women-Only DIY programme at Ouseburn Community Centre.  It was such a great success, that we have decided to put together a Level 1 accredited course for all those ladies out there who would like to gain a formal construction qualification and learn new construction-based skills either for use in the home or to help them get a foot in the door into the construction industry.

So, we are excited to announce that this **fully-funded** and fully accredited course is now open for enrolment!  The course starts on Friday 7th June from 10am – 2pm and will run for 5 weeks every Friday at these times, ending on 5th July.

On successful completion of the programme, you will receive a Level 1 Award in Occupational Studies: Plastering & Joinery and a Level 1 Award in Health & Safety Awareness.  And…. should you wish to progress further, you could go on to do a Level 2 qualification.

So come on ladies, let’s get those overalls on, pick up those tools and join all the other ‘sisters who are doing-it-for-themselves’!!!  Call us now on 0191 263 2752 or email admin@buildingfutureseast.org.
