After the success of the first planter session at Building Futures East the Summer Programme hit the road.  The first stop was Nunsmoor Sure Start Centre.  The sun was shining and all the children had a great time.  One girl had so much fun she decided to paint with her hands!

Next stop St Martin’s Sure Start Centre.  The children thoroughly enjoyed the planter session.  Children from all ages participated in the session with younger children painting smaller pots.

Our final destination was Monkchester Family Centre.  Around 12 families took part in the session with children ranging from 4 to 12 years of age.  One parent commented, “It’s a great activity which was enjoyable for the whole family.”

A huge thank you to all the Sure Start Children’s Centres who took part in the planter sessions and to Erin and Dave Bradley and his team for all their hard work.
