FIXING LOCKS, HANDLES AND HINGES – WOMEN-ONLY DIY SESSION FRIDAY 18TH JANUARY 2013

Following the success of the first Women-only DIY session back in December, we would like to invite you to join us for the next session on Friday 18th January 2013.  There will be 2 sessions running this day with the same theme – Fixing Locks, Handles and Hinges.  So either come along in the morning from 9.30-12pm or if you prefer, you can come along to the afternoon session from 12.30-3pm.

Don’t worry if you didn’t attend the first session as each session will teach you a different set of skills!  So why not give it a go – you never know, you could save yourself a small fortune by being able to do all those small jobs in the home that you would usually have to pay a tradesman to do!!

The session will take place at Ouseburn Community Centre, Mowbray Street, Heaton.

If you need a little encouragement then why not take a look at the photos below from the last session where our ladies constructed their very own wooden reindeer to take home!

If you would like to join in the sessions, call us on 0191 263 2752 to book your place.

1. Construction Tutor Dennis Baldwin explains how the wooden reindeer will be put together
2. A lesson on the safe use of power tools

4. Practicing the safe use of a drill
