We have a dedicated team who have a wealth of skills and experience in providing support to local unemployed and economically inactive residents by preparing them for future employment. Clients we support are usually aged 18+ and almost all will be from the 20% most deprived wards, predominantly in Newcastle and North Tyneside. Many individuals we work with will have experienced long-term or multi-generational worklessness and therefore may not always have the requisite skills to immediately meet the needs of local employers.

Our varied offer is entirely person-centred and focuses on reducing as many barriers as possible through the following interventions:
– Accredited and non-accredited basic and vocational skills training that aligns with and responds to employer needs
– Robust, high-quality careers advice through the National Careers Service provision and via the Talent Pools & Pathways project, which includes support to develop a CV, navigating the application process and advice around interview skills and employer expectations
– 1-to-1 intensive mentoring support via the Relational Mentoring project to support clients with more complex needs and aid them in reducing structural barriers which are affecting their daily lives and impacting their ability to gain and retain good employment

Our timetable of provision is regularly updated, so if you or someone you are working with is interested in accessing any of these provisions and finding out more about these services, please contact us for further information.
